Victoria Miro is a distinguished contemporary art gallery founded in 1985 by its namesake, Victoria Miro. Situated in London, the gallery has earned a significant reputation for showcasing works by both established and emerging artists within the global art scene. The gallery initially opened its doors on Cork Street, an area historically known for its array of galleries. This setting helped to establish Victoria Miro's early prominence in the art world.

In 2000, the gallery underwent a notable expansion, relocating to a larger space in a converted furniture factory in North London on Wharf Road. This relocation allowed the gallery to present more ambitious exhibitions due to its increased capacity. The new space featured a unique combination of Victorian architecture and contemporary design, enhancing its appeal to both artists and visitors.

Victoria Miro’s program has been characterized by a nurturing of innovative talents across a diverse array of media including painting, sculpture, installation, and video art. Among the artists represented over the years, some of the notable names include Yayoi Kusama, known for her immersive installations and distinctive polka dot patterns, and Chris Ofili, celebrated for his intricate paintings and multi-dimensional works.
