Established in Madrid, Spain, when a group of Spanish leather craftsmen joined forces, the brand found its definitive direction in 1872. It was Enrique Loewe Roessberg, a German immigrant, who brought profound change and established Loewe as a significant name in luxury leather goods.

Throughout the early 20th century, Loewe expanded its influence, opening its first store on Madrid's Gran Vía in 1939. This period marked a significant transformation as the brand began to attract a high-profile clientele, including Spanish aristocracy and visiting dignitaries.
