Cong Tri

Nguyễn Công Trí, known professionally as Công Trí, is a Vietnamese fashion designer who has made significant contributions to both the national and international fashion scenes. Born in Da Nang, Vietnam, in 1978, Công Trí has become renowned for his innovative designs that blend traditional Vietnamese elements with modern aesthetics.

Công Trí graduated from the University of Architecture in Ho Chi Minh City with a degree in industrial design. His career in fashion began to gain traction in 2001 when he launched his own brand, Công Trí, with a debut collection that drew widespread attention in Vietnam. Over the years, his brand has evolved to become a symbol of Vietnamese high fashion.

One of the most interesting aspects of Cong Tri's career is his representation of Vietnam at various international fashion events. In 2014, he became the first Vietnamese designer to be invited to participate in the Tokyo Fashion Week. This milestone was followed by his inclusion in New York Fashion Week in 2019, where his Fall/Winter collection received critical acclaim.

Công Trí's works are often characterized by their intricate craftsmanship, luxurious fabrics, and attention to detail. His collections frequently incorporate traditional Vietnamese materials such as silk and brocade, while also exploring contemporary themes. One notable collection, "Em Hoa" (I'm a Flower), released in 2016, paid tribute to the craft of silk embroidery, a traditional Vietnamese art form. This collection was particularly acclaimed for its beauty and cultural significance.

Many international celebrities have donned Cong Tri's creations, further elevating his global profile. Notables such as Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Naomi Campbell have all worn his designs on various prestigious occasions.

In addition to his success in fashion design, Công Trí has also ventured into costume design for stage and film. He has collaborated with numerous Vietnamese artists and directors, contributing to the visual storytelling in both local and international productions.
