David Koma, born David Georgievich Komakhidze on September 3, 1985, is a distinguished Georgian fashion designer who has made a notable impact in the fashion industry. David Koma's journey in fashion began at the tender age of 15 when he moved to St. Petersburg to study Fine Arts. He later relocated to London to pursue his education at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, where he graduated with a Master's degree in Fashion in 2009.
David Koma launched his eponymous label in 2009, captivating the fashion world with his debut collection which featured sculptural, body-conscious designs. His innovative use of metallic embellishments and sleek lines quickly garnered attention, earning him a reputation for creating dresses that exude a combination of glamour and strength.
In 2013, Koma was appointed as the creative director of the revered French fashion house, Mugler, succeeding Nicola Formichetti.
