Delpozo
Delpozo, a Spanish fashion house with a rich history, was founded in 1974 by Jesús del Pozo. The brand quickly made a name for itself with its unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and innovative design, characterized by intricate detailing and bold silhouettes. Del Pozo's vision was rooted in a deep appreciation for artisanal techniques, which defined the brand’s ethos from its inception.
The label gained significant recognition in the 1980s and 1990s, establishing itself as a prominent name in the Spanish fashion scene. Jesús del Pozo’s designs were celebrated for their architectural influences and avant-garde approach, which resonated with a clientele seeking both elegance and originality. In 1998, del Pozo was honored with Spain's National Award for Fashion Design, solidifying his impact on the industry.
After the passing of its founder in 2011, Delpozo underwent a transformative phase. The fashion house was revitalized under the creative direction of Josep Font from 2012 to 2018. Font brought a fresh perspective, incorporating an ethereal aesthetic and a modern sensibility while staying true to the brand’s roots in craftsmanship. This period marked Delpozo's entry into the international fashion arena, with its debut at New York Fashion Week in 2013 drawing global attention.
Font's tenure saw significant milestones, including collaborations with high-profile designers and participation in prestigious fashion exhibitions. His collections were praised for their vibrant color palettes, fluid forms, and masterful embroidery. Following Font’s departure, Lutz Huelle took the creative helm in 2019, continuing to infuse the brand with contemporary flair and innovative designs.
