Antoine Preziuso
Antoine Preziuso is a celebrated name in the haute horlogerie industry, known for his masterful craftsmanship and innovative timepieces. Born in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1957, Preziuso developed an early interest in watchmaking, a passion that would shape his career and contributions to the world of luxury watches. He pursued formal training at the Geneva Watchmaking School, where he graduated with honors in 1978. His expertise was further honed during his time at Patek Philippe, one of the most prestigious watchmaking companies in the world.
In 1981, Preziuso launched his own brand, driven by a distinct vision to blend traditional watchmaking techniques with groundbreaking designs. His early work garnered significant attention, and he swiftly established a reputation for meticulous attention to detail and technical innovation. The 1989 Baselworld Fair was a pivotal moment for Preziuso, as his unique approach to design left a lasting impression on industry aficionados.
One of the brand’s most notable creations is the Tourbillon of Tourbillons, unveiled in 2015. This masterpiece features three tourbillons on a revolving plate, a technical marvel that underscores Preziuso’s engineering prowess. This watch won the Innovation Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, a highly respected accolade in the watchmaking community.
Antoine Preziuso’s journey has been marked by numerous collaborations and exhibitions. Notably, in 2009, he partnered with his son Florian, also a watchmaker, to create the ‘Art of Tourbillon.’ Their collaboration culminated in several distinctive models that blend family craftsmanship with contemporary flair.
