Emmanuel Bouchet
Emmanuel Bouchet is a name synonymous with horological innovation and craftsmanship within the watchmaking industry. Known for his unprecedented mechanical creativity, Bouchet drew early interest in his career through contributions to some of the most complex and revered timepieces in modern horology.
Born in 1965 in Nantes, France, Bouchet's fascination with watches began at a young age. His formal education in horology was completed at the celebrated Watchmaking School of La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, a globally recognized institution renowned for honing the skills of some of the finest watchmakers in history. Upon graduation, he worked for several prestigious brands, including Breguet, where he gained invaluable experience and skills.
One of Bouchet’s most notable achievements was his co-development of the Opus 12 for Harry Winston in 2012. The Opus Series is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional watchmaking, and Bouchet's contributions to the Opus 12 were no exception. The watch boasts a revolutionary time display mechanism inspired by the Copernican revolution with its gears and hands. His collaboration with Harry Winston further solidified his reputation as a visionary in the field.
In 2014, driven by his desire to forge his unique path, Bouchet established his own brand, Emmanuel Bouchet. His debut creation under his eponymous label was the “Complication One,” an extraordinarily intricate piece that introduced the world to a novel concept in timekeeping. The caliber of the watch features a double escapement system, providing superior precision and demonstrating Bouchet's commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is technically possible within a wristwatch.
