Greenpoint Technologies
Greenpoint Technologies, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, has established itself as a significant entity in the realm of aviation interior completions. Founded in 1987 by Jon Buccola, the company initially made its mark by offering engineering solutions and modifications for commercial aircraft. It grew steadily, pivoting towards high-end completions on VIP and head-of-state aircraft, a niche market that demanded precision, luxury, and innovation.
One of the key milestones in Greenpoint's history occurred in 1997 when they completed their first VVIP (Very Very Important Person) widebody aircraft interior for an undisclosed client. This project not only marked the company's entry into the exclusive top tier of custom aircraft interiors but also demonstrated their capability to work on complex, large-scale projects. Over the years, Greenpoint has accrued a reputation for turning ordinary aircraft into luxurious flying experiences that blend cutting-edge technology with unparalleled craftsmanship.
In 2006, Greenpoint Technologies was acquired by the international aerospace company, Zodiac Aerospace. This acquisition provided Greenpoint with the resources and support to expand their operations and solidify their place as a leader in the field. However, in 2018, Zodiac Aerospace itself was bought by the renowned French multinational company, Safran. Under Safran, Greenpoint continues to thrive, benefiting from the parent company's hefty emphasis on research and innovation.
Greenpoint's clientele includes heads of state, royalty, and other ultra-high-net-worth individuals, providing them with bespoke interiors that often take years to design and complete. The company’s portfolio includes illustrious projects like the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the 747-8, where they've installed amenities such as master suites, conference centers, and lounges tailored to the specific needs and tastes of their elite customers.
