The vineyards of Château La Fleur-Pétrus encompass 18.7 hectares, primarily planted with Merlot, which is complemented by lesser quantities of Cabernet Franc. The estate derives its name from its unique position, sandwiched between Château Pétrus and Château La Fleur.

The history of Château La Fleur-Pétrus traces back to 1950 when it was purchased by the Moueix family, under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Moueix, a prominent figure in the world of Bordeaux wine. The Moueix family is deeply embedded in the rich history of Pomerol, having been instrumental in elevating the global reputation of the region. The family’s involvement in the wine industry extends to a portfolio of other esteemed vineyards including Château Trotanoy and Château Hosanna.
