Baglietto, an illustrious name in the realm of shipbuilding, has been synonymous with maritime excellence since its inception in 1854. Established in the picturesque town of Varazze, Italy, by Pietro Baglietto, the company commenced its journey crafting small fishing boats and dinghies. Pietro's innovative spirit and artisanal skill quickly earned Baglietto a sterling reputation.

By the early 20th century, the yard expanded its horizon to include pleasure boats and military vessels. Baglietto's significant contribution during World War I involved the production of MAS (Motoscafo Armato Silurante) boats, which were fast attack craft used by the Italian Navy. These boats were pivotal in several naval victories, significantly enhancing the company's prestige.

Post-war, Baglietto proved its versatility by shifting focus once again, catering to the burgeoning market for luxury yachts. This pivot was marked by the 1920 launch of "Giuseppina," a yacht that became emblematic of Baglietto’s commitment to combining elegance with innovation.

World War II saw Baglietto returning to military production, constructing a variety of vessels, notably the transformative hydrofoil crafts. The 1980s and 1990s were a period of significant expansion and technological advancement. The company introduced pioneering aluminum hulls and innovative design techniques, cementing its role as a trailblazer in yacht construction.
