Harrison Eidsgaard
Harrison Eidsgaard is an internationally renowned design studio specializing in the creation of luxurious bespoke yachts. Founded in 2005 by Ben Harrison, Ewa Eidsgaard, and Peder Eidsgaard, the studio has established itself as a leader in the superyacht industry, offering innovative and meticulously crafted designs. The founders combined their diverse backgrounds in architecture and industrial design to forge a distinctive aesthetic that blends elegance with functionality.
From its inception, Harrison Eidsgaard has been celebrated for pioneering design philosophies that push the boundaries of what is possible in yacht design. Their first major project, the 78-meter yacht "Amaryllis," launched in 2011, featured extensive use of glass, allowing for stunning panoramic views and a feeling of openness rarely seen in yacht interiors. This project set a new standard for luxury and innovation, earning the studio multiple industry awards, including the coveted International Superyacht Society award.
Another landmark project was "Elandess," an 74-meter vessel delivered in 2018, which garnered widespread acclaim for its innovative features such as a dramatic submersible lounge and an expansive swimming pool. The studio's work on Elandess won the World Superyacht Award for the "Best Displacement Motor Yacht 500GT to 1,499GT" category, further cementing Harrison Eidsgaard's reputation as industry pioneers.
The studio continued to build on its success with groundbreaking projects like "Lady S," a 93-meter yacht delivered in 2019 that boasted the world’s first floating IMAX cinema. This addition was seen as a synthesis of cutting-edge technology with opulent design, offering an unparalleled entertainment experience on the high seas.
