Goodwood Revival
The Goodwood Revival is an annual three-day festival held since 1998 at Goodwood Circuit in West Sussex, England, which celebrates the golden era of motorsport from the 1950s and 1960s. The event is a unique blend of racing, vintage fashion, and nostalgia, attracting race fans and enthusiasts from around the world.
Goodwood Circuit, which remains unchanged since its heyday, was the spiritual home of British motor racing from 1948 to 1966, hosting classic races such as the Tourist Trophy for sports cars and the Glover Trophy for Grand Prix cars. The circuit was established by Freddie March, a Brooklands winner, and was revived by his grandson Charles, Earl of March, in 1998.
The Goodwood Revival is the only historic race meeting to be staged entirely in period dress, recreating the halcyon days of motorsport from the 1950s and 1960s. The event is a celebration of flat-out wheel-to-wheel racing, where spectators can enjoy the sights and sounds of classic cars and motorcycles competing on the circuit.
In addition to the racing, the Goodwood Revival is also known for its vintage fashion, with attendees encouraged to dress in period clothing from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. The event features a vintage high street with a hair salon, a vintage market selling clothes and artwork, and a sprawling vintage fairground with a ferris wheel, dodgems, carousel, and amusement arcade.
