Paris Photo Fair

Paris Photo is the world's largest international art fair dedicated to the photographic medium, held annually in Paris since 1997. The fair's mission is to promote and nurture photographic creation and the galleries, publishers, and artists at its source. Paris Photo brings together up to 200 exhibitors from across the globe, offering collectors and enthusiasts a diverse and qualitative presentation of photography-driven projects. Leading galleries showcase historical and contemporary artworks from modern masters to young talents, while specialized publishers and art book dealers present unique and rare editions, as well as book launches and signature sessions with renowned artists.

The fair is known for its various sectors, including the Main sector, which features a wide range of photography-driven projects; the Book sector, dedicated to photo book publishing; the Emergence sector, showcasing young and emerging artists; and the Digital sector, focusing on digital art practices. In addition, the fair has introduced new sectors, such as Prismes, featuring spectacular and large format projects that explore the uses of image, and Voices, welcoming renowned curators to develop proposals centered on contemporary themes.

Paris Photo also hosts the Carte Blanche Students program, launched in 2017, dedicated to bachelor's and master's students in European schools of photography and fine arts, with the aim of supporting emergence and fostering energy and creativity. The fair takes place at the historic Grand Palais, which has been the fair's home since its inception, with the exception of recent years when it was held at the Grand Palais Éphémère due to renovations at the Grand Palais. The fair attracts thousands of visitors, including collectors, art lovers, galleries, and publishers from all over the world, making it a significant event in the photography world.
