Sydney Boat Show
The Sydney Boat Show, established in 1968, is a renowned event in the global recreational marine calendar, recognized for its comprehensive array of offerings and historical significance. Initially housed at the Horden Pavilion in Moore Park, the show transitioned to a temporary site in Pyrmont from 1986 to 1988, where the introduction of an on-water exhibit set the stage for its enduring relocation to the picturesque Darling Harbour.
Under the auspices of the Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA), the Sydney Boat Show has evolved into the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, drawing in excess of three million enthusiasts and industry experts alike. The exhibition spans two distinct venues, with over 220 exhibitors and in excess of 145 grand vessels moored at the purpose-built marina. A staggering assemblage of 700 boats is housed within the expansive halls, occupying a sprawling 24,800 square metres of undercover space.
The Sydney Boat Show showcases a diverse array of products promoting safe and rewarding boating experiences for the discerning Australian audience. From humble paddleboards to opulent power cruisers, classic sailboats to cutting-edge fishing gear, the show is an indispensable pilgrimage for maritime enthusiasts and professionals, encapsulating the essence of aquatic splendor in a singularly captivating experience.
