Japan Mobility Show

The Japan Mobility Show, previously known as the Tokyo Motor Show, is an annual event held in Tokyo, Japan, at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center. This prestigious show is hosted by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) and is recognized internationally by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles. The event features cars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles, with a particular focus on concept cars, making it one of the "big five" motor shows alongside Detroit, Geneva, Frankfurt, and Paris.

The Japan Mobility Show's origins can be traced back to 1954 when the All Japan Motor Show was first held in Hibiya Park. The show was a resounding success, attracting 547,000 visitors and 254 exhibitors showcasing 267 vehicles. Despite the limited number of passenger cars (only 17) due to the dominance of commercial vehicles, the event was considered a significant achievement.

Over the years, the Japan Mobility Show has evolved, adapting to the changing automotive landscape and embracing new technologies. The event features a wide range of electric vehicles, off-road vehicles, recreational vehicles, and camping cars, reflecting the growing popularity of outdoor activities and the increasing importance of sustainability in the transportation sector.
