amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and the advocacy of AIDS-related public policy.

The amfAR Gala New York serves as the unofficial kick-off to New York Fashion Week and honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the fight against HIV/AIDS. This spectacular black-tie event will feature cocktails, a seated dinner, a live auction of luxury items, musical performances, and a special tribute to the Gala's honoree.

Since 1998, the amfAR Gala New York has become one of New York City’s most successful and high-profile AIDS benefit events.
