The 2027 Cricket World Cup is the 14th edition of the prestigious One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This quadrennial event will be held in October and November 2027, featuring teams from around the world competing in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

The tournament will consist of 14 teams, with South Africa and Zimbabwe qualifying as co-hosts, and the top eight teams in the ICC ODI rankings as of March 31, 2027, securing their spots directly. The remaining four spots will be determined through global qualifier tournaments, including the Cricket World Cup League 2 (CWC L2) and the World Cup Qualifier Playoff.

The format of the 2027 Cricket World Cup will follow the tradition of the 2003 edition, with two groups of seven teams each. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, followed by semi-finals and a final. A modified version of points carry forward (PCF) from the 1999 edition will be re-introduced in this tournament.

In South Africa, eight venues have been confirmed for the tournament, including Boland Park in Paarl, Buffalo Park in East London, Centurion Park in Centurion, Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, St George's Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha, and Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

The ICC World Test Championship, a league competition for Test cricket, will run concurrently with the 2027 Cricket World Cup. The championship, which started in 2019, features nine teams playing Test cricket in a league format, with the top two teams advancing to the final. The inaugural championship was won by New Zealand, and the 2023 final was won by Australia.
