Monterey Car Week

Monterey Car Week is an annual celebration of classic automobiles in Monterey County, California. The week-long event features nearly 30 car-related activities, including shows, races, auctions, arts, and lectures, culminating in the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The Concours d'Elegance, held at the Pebble Beach Golf Links, is the grand finale of Monterey Car Week. It showcases the world's top 200 collector cars, with only a select few receiving official recognition for their style, technical merit, and historical accuracy.

In addition to the Concours d'Elegance, various marquee concours events take place throughout the week, such as the Porsche Werks Reunion and The Quail a Motorsports Gathering. These events highlight specific car manufacturers and require pre-purchase for attendance.

Monterey Car Week also offers free events, like the Monterey Car Week Kick-Off, which features a classic car show in Downtown Monterey. The Little Car Show in Pacific Grove showcases vintage mini, micro, electric, steam, and arcane vehicles, while Exotics on Broadway focuses on super, hyper, and exotic cars.

The Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance is another free event, where Concours entrants drive a scenic route on Highway 1 to prove their roadworthiness and gain an advantage in the Concours. The Concours d'LeMons, a playful event celebrating the vehicle universe's biggest mishaps, is also a part of Monterey Car Week.

Auctions are a significant part of Monterey Car Week, with companies like RM Sotheby's and Mecum holding high-profile events. These auctions offer a wide range of vehicles, from prewar classics to modern supercars and vintage motorcycles.
