This year, the esteemed Maison was prominently featured, and its new release—the Excalibur Titanium Monotourbillon—carved out its own niche. Born from the renowned expertise in tourbillon craftsmanship at the Maison, it serves as a minimalist yet striking testament to the belief that simplicity can achieve purity.
The Calibre RD512SQ within this watch highlights the distinctive traits of Roger Dubuis, starting with the unique placement of the Monotourbillon at 7 o’clock, which is a signature element of the Maison’s design, meticulously assembled by its skilled watchmakers. This model features a flying tourbillon mechanism, comprised of 63 components with a lower cage made from lightweight titanium and an upper bridge that takes inspiration from the Celtic Cross. The construction, which is supported on only one side and lacks a top bridge, poses a notable challenge in terms of stability but enhances the visual appeal of the tourbillon.
What stands out most, however, is the calibre’s overall purity. The Monotourbillon is set within a skeletonized environment adorned with an astral motif, melding exceptional functionality with a clean aesthetic.
