Developers Related Group, Tate Capital, and Rok Acquisitions, in partnership with Marriott International, have announced an expansive $2 billion project—the St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale. This project will revitalise the iconic Bahia Mar Yachting Center, a world-renowned marina and venue for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The extensive development is designed to elevate the area into a Monaco-inspired luxury destination, combining hospitality, residential spaces, and commercial offerings.

The project spans 40 acres and will be completed in two phases. The first phase will bring two 23-story residential towers, a St. Regis hotel, a private beach club, upscale dining and retail spaces, and additional waterfront amenities. Sales have already commenced for The St. Regis Residences, which are set to redefine luxury living in Fort Lauderdale.

Jorge M. Pérez, Chairman and CEO of Related Group, emphasised the importance of this project, saying, “Blending world-class residential, hospitality, and lifestyle offerings, this visionary development is not only befitting of this one-of-a-kind site but also a critical addition to Fort Lauderdale’s broader evolution.” The project aims to establish Fort Lauderdale as a prominent luxury hub, underscoring Bahia Mar’s history and unique position in the yachting world.

Designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by London-based Tara Bernerd & Partners, the master plan includes 88,000 square feet of waterfront commercial space. This space will house restaurants, a public park, boat docking facilities, and a 25-foot-wide pedestrian promenade along the Intracoastal Waterway. The development will also cater to megayacht owners, offering exclusive marina slips that can accommodate vessels up to 350 feet long.

Jimmy Tate expressed the significance of this milestone, stating, “After nearly a decade of hard work, it’s incredible to see our vision finally come to life.” Despite challenges over the years, the vision for Bahia Mar is set to enhance the local community and redefine the luxury experience along the Florida coast.

The first phase will deliver 160 residential units spread across the two towers, with additional resort residences located above the hotel. Units will range from three- to four-bedroom layouts, with penthouses featuring larger, more expansive configurations. These residences are designed to create an exclusive, villa-like atmosphere, complete with private elevator foyers and glass-wrapped terraces that offer panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, and city skyline.

Each residence will meet St. Regis’s signature standards of luxury. Amenities within each tower include a 17,000-square-foot space encompassing a spa, salon, fitness centre, children’s playroom, and private dining room. Residents will also have access to outdoor facilities such as a private pool, pickleball courts, summer kitchens, and advanced sports simulators.

The project will offer resort-style facilities that include two pools, an expansive fitness centre, a spa with outdoor options, and a high-end restaurant with waterfront views. Additionally, the complex will feature a 24/7 residential lobby, valet and self-parking, climate-controlled storage, and a residents-only app for convenience and personalised services. Sales and marketing for the St. Regis Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale, are managed exclusively by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Prices for condominiums begin at $4.4 million, while the hotel residences are available from $2 million.
