Inside, the lobby, designed by famed yacht and private residence designer Achille Salvagni, exudes sophistication and intimacy. The lobby features elegant wood and stone entry vestibules, leading to an oval lobby with fluted walls and a backlit onyx fireplace. This jewel box lobby sets the tone for the rest of the building, embodying the heart and soul of the Upper East Side.

The Benson’s living rooms are a blend of traditional and contemporary elements. They feature classic proportions, oversized windows, and generous ceiling heights, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The enfilade of entertaining spaces—including the living room, formal dining room, and library—aligns with large west-facing windows, allowing each space to be bathed in warm afternoon light. The corner dining rooms are designed with integrated pocket doors, allowing for a seamless transition between casual and formal dining settings.

The 15 units at The Benson include a mix of half-floor, full-floor, and duplex condominiums. Among these units are three penthouses and one duplex townhouse with its own gardens. The custom-fluted hood, backlit and vented to the outside, is both beautiful and practical. The cabinetry, designed by Christopher Peacock, includes solid walnut interiors and polished nickel pulls, enhancing the overall luxury and functionality of the kitchens.

The Benson offers a variety of thoughtful amenities designed to enhance residents’ lifestyles. The rooftop lounge, known as the Park Bar, features a fire pit and direct views of Central Park. The cinema room, designed by Achille Salvagni, includes a custom wet bar and popcorn machine.
