Tsukimi
Japanese tasting menus highlighting ingredients of the season are presented in an intimate setting
Located in the heart of the East Village, Tsukimi offers a modern take on kaiseki, a multi-course Japanese dinner. The name Tsukimi translates to moon viewing and refers to the mid-autumn harvest festival honouring the moon at its fullest and brightest. While we partake in the harvest of the earth, we celebrate contemplation, gratitude, and togetherness.
A new establishment from the Bar Moga team, Tsukimi is founded by chef Takanori Akiyama and general manager Karen Lin who blend traditional flavours with the bold, unspoken NYC overtone in an eleven-course tasting menu.
Designed by Studio Tack, they currently offer single seating at their 14-seat counter with dinner commencing at 7 pm to showcase an elemental form of cuisine including nori, fluke, caviar and much more.
