The Ford Mustang GTD Spirit of America commemorates 60 years of Mustang’s remarkable journey, from its victory at the 1964 Tour de France to becoming the first car from an American brand to conquer Germany’s Nürburgring in under seven minutes. This special edition stands as a tribute to the Mustang’s enduring legacy and the spirit of American ingenuity.
The special-edition Mustang is adorned with a Performance White body, accentuated by twin racing stripes in Race Red and Lightning Blue. These stripes pay homage to the original Mustang Tribar logo from 1964, symbolising the rich heritage of Mustang’s racing history. The colour scheme also reflects the overalls worn by Craig Breedlove during his historical feats, breaking the 500- and 600-mile-per-hour barriers.
Exposed carbon fibre elements define the car’s aerodynamic profile, enhancing performance and aesthetic appeal. The front splitter, rear diffuser, and spoiler are all crafted from this lightweight material. The rear spoiler is distinguished by Race Red end plates and features a bold “MUSTANG” wordmark on its underside, making a statement to any vehicle left in its wake. Buyers can choose between Race Red or exposed carbon-fibre mirror caps, while Race Red callipers come standard, reinforcing the car’s athletic stance.
At the heart of the Mustang GTD Spirit of America is the 2025 Mustang GTD, a vehicle engineered to push boundaries. With 815 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, this model is the most powerful street-legal Mustang ever produced. It boasts a top speed of 202 miles per hour, delivering unprecedented performance for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
The interior of the Mustang GTD Spirit of America is tailored to reflect both its heritage and cutting-edge performance. The package-specific seats are leather-trimmed with Dinamica inserts, providing a blend of comfort and durability suited for spirited driving. A Race Red gradient stripe runs down the centre of the seats, adding a striking visual element. Black Onyx dominates the cabin, contrasted by Re-Entry White trimmings and subtle Victory Blue stitching, which adds a refined touch throughout. Further enhancing the interior, paddle shifters, a shift ring, and an instrument panel badge are available in 3D-printed titanium, combining advanced manufacturing with a nod to racing technology.
The Mustang GTD Spirit of America comes equipped with the Performance Package as standard, ensuring that every aspect of the vehicle is optimized for driving excellence. This includes finely tuned suspension, enhanced braking systems, and superior handling characteristics designed to conquer tracks and roads with equal finesse.

This edition also honours the Mustang’s storied past and the spirit of pioneers like Craig Breedlove. Known for his engineering prowess, Breedlove set land speed records with a $500 jet engine from a Korean War fighter plane. His feats inspired generations of American engineers, designers, and innovators, including those behind the Mustang GTD program.
