BMW and Kith just launched an exclusive limited edition XM at Art Basel Miami Beach
BMW and Kith recently unveild the exclusive 2025 BMW XM by Kith and one-off XM Kith Concept, presented at Art Basel Miami Beach. ShareBMW and Kith have expanded their collaboration with the unveiling of the 2025 BMW XM by Kith and the BMW XM Kith Concept. These exclusive models were presented at Art Basel Miami Beach, marking the third chapter in the partnership between BMW and Ronnie Fieg, the Founder, CEO, and Creative Director of Kith, who has reimagined BMW’s high-performance automotive design for a new audience.
The centerpiece of this collaboration is the 2025 BMW XM by Kith, a plug-in hybrid vehicle inspired by the legendary BMW M1. This limited-edition model will see just 47 units produced, commemorating the 47 years since the debut of the M1. The vehicle will be available in two exclusive finishes: BMW Individual Frozen Techno Violet metallic, developed solely for this collaboration, and Frozen Black metallic. These unique finishes enhance the vehicle’s dynamic and expressive design, underscoring its collector’s appeal.
The exterior design features striking details, including black side window graphics and accent strips. The model inscriptions and Kith logos are outlined in Techno Violet metallic, echoing the exclusive paint finish. The 23-inch M light-alloy wheels in Jet Black star-spoke design complete the bold, sporty aesthetic. Special touches in the interior also include a Kith duffle bag designed to store the vehicle’s charging cables. Meanwhile, the control display features a custom widget displaying the BMW XM by Kith name, the “1/47” insignia, and Kith’s iconic logo with the M stripes.
The collaboration further showcases the one-of-one 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept, a vehicle created by Fieg and BMW to push design boundaries. The concept car features custom lighting and a dramatic use of purple, complementing the Techno Violet paint. Its side accent strips incorporate 363 full-color LED units, creating a vibrant glow around the Kith lettering when illuminated. The headlights include purple-tinted LED units, while the M radiator grille is adorned with purple contour lighting. The XM Kith Concept’s motorsport-inspired engineering includes a lowered chassis and widened tracks, with springs and spacers tailored to enhance its aggressive stance. Inside, M Carbon bucket seats replace the standard seats and feature embossed Kith logos, illuminated emblems, and M stripes on the headrests.
Inside the 2025 BMW XM by Kith, the cabin showcases a meticulous blend of luxury and modernity, infused with Kith’s design language. Merino leather seat surfaces, the armrest of the center console, and velour floor mats all feature embossed Kith monograms. Illuminated door sills bear the “1/47” insignia, emphasizing the vehicle’s rarity. The M Lounge in the rear of the car adds an extra layer of refinement, with Kith-branded cushions and a pre-set purple ambient lighting system creating an exclusive atmosphere.
To connect this collaboration with BMW’s storied history, Fieg also restored a 1981 BMW M1 E26, which debuts alongside the XM Kith Concept. This one-of-a-kind restoration incorporates the same Techno Violet paint, Kith monograms, and a combined M and Kith emblem on the tailgate, linking the M1’s legacy with the modern XM by Kith.
Alongside the vehicles, BMW and Kith are launching a new lifestyle collection. The Kith for BMW collection draws from classic BMW motifs, incorporating the distinctive colors Techno Violet, Cinnabar Red, and Vitality Green. The apparel range includes Italian leather jackets, double-sided wool and suede pieces, hoodies, rugby shirts, and vintage-inspired T-shirts. Accessories in the collection include leather driving gloves, branded key fobs, microfiber towels, cushions, mugs, and even snowboards.
One of the standout items is a 1:18 scale model of the 2025 BMW XM by Kith. This miniature replica mirrors the design of the limited-edition vehicle, featuring the Techno Violet metallic paint, model lettering on the grille, and Kith logos on the doors and seats. The scale model will be available exclusively through the BMW Lifestyle Shop, while the full Kith for BMW collection will be available at Kith stores worldwide, including a pop-up at Art Basel Miami Beach, and on their online store.
