Mercedes-AMG has introduced a limited edition model, the GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ “Motorsport Collectors Edition,” designed specifically for car enthusiasts and Formula 1 fans. This special model is limited to 200 units and features numerous design elements inspired by the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
The exterior is finished in obsidian black metallic, reminiscent of the team’s current Formula 1 car, and showcases a hand-painted star pattern on the rear flanks along with Petronas-coloured decorative stripes. These stripes extend from the front fenders to the roof, creating a seamless visual connection to the motorsport team. Petronas accents are also found on the front splitter, side air intake flics, side sill panels, and rear diffuser attachment, emphasizing the connection to the racing world.
The 21-inch matte black AMG forged wheels with a cross-spoke design further enhance the car’s aggressive stance. The PETRONAS-coloured rim flanges and brake callipers complement the overall look. This model comes standard with an AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system, featuring six-piston fixed callipers at the front and one-piston floating callipers at the rear. The front axle is equipped with 420-millimetre brake discs, ensuring optimal stopping power. Additionally, the “Motorsport Collectors Edition” rides on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyres, with 295/30 ZR 21 at the front and 305/30 ZR 21 at the rear, providing exceptional grip and performance.
The car is equipped with the AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package, which includes a front splitter, side sill trim, diffuser, and rear wing, all made from high-quality carbon fibre. The AMG Aerodynamics package, with a fixed rear wing, enhances the car’s aerodynamic performance. The panoramic glass roof and AMG Night Package II add further exclusivity, with black chrome elements on the radiator trim, rear Mercedes star, and other details. The silver chrome AMG fuel filler cap with “AMG” lettering adds a subtle, yet distinct, touch.
Inside the car, Petronas-coloured details are carried through, giving the interior a unique and sporty feel. The AMG Performance seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather combined with Microcut microfibre, adorned with Petronas-coloured stitching and embossed AMG crests on the headrests. Carbon-fibre AMG trim elements and a heated AMG Performance steering wheel in Microcut leather with matching stitching continue the theme. This stitching is also found on the door panels, instrument panel, and centre console, creating a cohesive design. The AMG door-sill trims, finished in black, are illuminated in the Petronas colour.
The interior is also equipped with premium features, including the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System, which delivers exceptional audio through 15 speakers and 1,170 watts of power. Other standard features include a 360-degree camera, MBUX Interior Assistant, Driver Assistance Package, and a head-up display. AMG TRACK PACE, an advanced data system, is also included, offering detailed driving metrics for track enthusiasts. For additional convenience, a front axle lift system helps the car clear speed bumps and curbs with ease, while ambient lighting and the ENERGIZING package enhance comfort on long journeys.
To further distinguish this model, an exclusive “‘1 out of 200” badge is displayed in the centre console, indicating its limited edition status. Each customer will also receive a customised, edition-specific AMG indoor car cover, designed to protect the vehicle from dust and scratches. The cover is made from tear-resistant synthetic fabric on the outside and lined with antistatic flannel on the inside. Safety and security are priorities with the inclusion of GUARD 360° vehicle monitoring, which provides protection against theft and vandalism.
