Introducing the 2025 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and Panamera GTS
Porsche’s 2025 Panamera lineup expands with the Turbo S E-Hybrid and GTS models, featuring a 771-hp hybrid system and 493-hp V8 engine, respectively. SharePorsche has introduced two new models in the Panamera lineup: the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and the Panamera GTS. These models showcase enhanced performance and a focus on delivering driving pleasure and luxury, each catering to different preferences. The Panamera GTS emphasizes dynamic handling and engagement, while the Turbo S E-Hybrid represents the pinnacle of luxury and power within the Panamera range.
The Panamera GTS is designed as a sport sedan with a performance-oriented calibration, aimed at delivering a thrilling driving experience. It features a revised 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 493 hp, a 20 hp increase over its predecessor. The GTS accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 188 mph. The car’s exhaust system is tuned for a distinctive sound, enhancing the overall experience. The chassis is set lower by 10 millimetres compared to a standard Panamera, providing a more connected and direct driving feel, without compromising comfort. On the exterior, the GTS is distinguished by black logos, a unique front fascia, and 21-inch Turbo S centre-lock wheels in Anthracite Grey.
The interior is similarly sporty, with extensive use of Race-Tex material, covering the roof lining, armrests, and door panels. The seats are designed for both comfort and sportiness, offering 18-way adjustment. Optional GTS-specific interior packages in Carmine Red or Slate Grey Neo further enhance the cabin’s sporty atmosphere. The standard equipment includes a Bose sound system and the Sport Chrono package, which adds a push-to-pass function and stopwatch.
In contrast, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is positioned as the most powerful and luxurious model in the lineup. It features a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 771 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 202 mph. Porsche has improved the electric range and charging capabilities, thanks to a new battery with 45% more capacity and increased recuperation output.
The Turbo S E-Hybrid stands out visually with a rear bumper and front fascia in the car’s exterior colour, tailpipes in Dark Bronze, and standard 21-inch Panamera Turbo S wheels. The model also introduces the exclusive Turbonite color, used on the airblades, interior trim, and stitching. Inside, the cabin is lined with premium materials, including Race-Tex for the roof lining and contrast stitching in Turbonite.
A highlight of the Turbo S E-Hybrid is its Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record. Driven by test driver Lars Kern, the car completed the 20.832 km circuit in 7:24.17 minutes, setting a new record for the fastest hybrid luxury sedan. The achievement underscores the model’s dual nature of luxury and high performance.
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid also offers an optional Aerokit in Carbon Fiber, which enhances the car’s aerodynamics for improved track performance. The Aerokit includes airblades, side skirts, and a rear diffuser, all designed to increase downforce and optimize balance at high speeds. Additionally, specially developed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres with N0 marking further boost the car’s handling capabilities.
Both the Panamera GTS and Turbo S E-Hybrid come with comprehensive standard equipment. The GTS includes a sport-tuned suspension, rear-axle steering, and the Porsche Active Ride suspension. The Turbo S E-Hybrid adds a more advanced version of this system, coupled with a 400 V high-voltage setup exclusive to the E-Hybrid powertrain. The Turbo S E-Hybrid also features the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system with 440 mm front and 410 mm rear rotors.
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and GTS models are expected to be available in U.S. Porsche Centers by late Q1 2025. The GTS has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $154,200, while the Turbo S E-Hybrid starts at $226,500, excluding taxes, registration, and additional fees. Both models incorporate features from the third-generation Panamera, including the Porsche Driver Experience cockpit, enhanced connectivity options, and the ability to park using a smartphone app.
