Lamborghini Urus SE takes center stage at Art Basel Miami Beach
Lamborghini unveiled a custom Miami-inspired Urus SE during Art Basel Miami Beach 2024, showcasing its hybrid powertrain and Ad Personam customization program. ShareAutomobili Lamborghini made a bold debut during the recently held Art Basel Miami Beach 2024 with the launch of a Miami-inspired Urus SE. This one-of-a-kind version of the brand’s first Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Super SUV captivated guests at an exclusive event in Miami Beach. The Urus SE, introduced earlier this year in Beijing, combines cutting-edge design, exceptional power, and the limitless potential of Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization program.
The Ad Personam program, renowned for offering tailored options to Lamborghini clients, took center stage with this Urus SE, requiring an additional 230 hours of meticulous painting and testing beyond standard processes. The result is a striking visual masterpiece that embodies Miami’s vibrant lifestyle and artistic energy.
Mitja Borkert, Design Director of Automobili Lamborghini, described the project as an exploration of bold creativity. “With this authentic piece of art, we have created the most sophisticated livery ever seen on the Urus,” Borkert shared. “It reflects our perfect vision of the vibrant Miami lifestyle and its diversity.”
The Miami-inspired design features a daring color palette led by Blu Glauco, paired with shades of grey and black for a sophisticated yet dynamic look. Highlights include a Nero Noctis front lip accented by Blu Glauco details, bicolor mirror caps in Grigio Telesto with Blu Glauco pinstripes, and a Nero Noctis rear diffuser with matching accents. The theme carries into the luxurious interior, where unicolor leather upholstery is complemented by unique kick plates and a carbon fiber dashboard inscribed with “MIAMI,” commemorating the collaboration.
“We are always excited to bring true innovation and artistry to Miami,” Winkelmann said, addressing the crowd of creatives, designers, and collectors drawn to the city for Art Basel. “With demand for Lamborghini vehicles at an all-time high, I am very proud of this special Urus SE, which highlights the infinite customization possibilities of our Ad Personam program.”
The celebration didn’t stop with the Urus SE. Guests were also introduced to the Lamborghini Temerario, a new model powered by a twin-turbo V8 hybrid system. As the successor to the iconic Huracán, the Temerario delivers a combined output of 920 CV and sprints from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in a mere 2.7 seconds. This showcase underscored Lamborghini’s forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability.
The unveiling coincided with Lamborghini’s announcement of record-breaking results for the first three quarters of 2024. With global deliveries up 8.6% to 8,411 units compared to the same period in 2023, the brand continues to strengthen its legacy.
