Lamborghini ushers in the electric era with Urus SE
Lamborghini has launched the Urus SE in India, its first plug-in hybrid Super SUV with an 800 CV powertrain and advanced driving technology. ShareLamborghini has taken a bold step into the future with the launch of the Urus SE, its first plug-in hybrid Super SUV. This model will bring literal and figurative electrification to the lineup—combining raw power and pushing the limits of performance and efficiency. With its cutting-edge design, refined aerodynamics, advanced onboard technology, and a powerful 800 CV hybrid powertrain, the Urus SE builds on the success of the Urus S by enhancing comfort, performance, efficiency, and driving enjoyment. The PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) version also achieves an 80% reduction in emissions while delivering top-tier power and torque, offering a range of over 60 km in pure electric mode.
“The Urus SE embodies our brand’s DNA and is a testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence in both being fun to drive and dynamic performance. I am proud to present the most powerful version of our SUV lineup to all our customers and fans in India. The new Urus SE sets the stage for an era of Super SUV evolution in the electrification phase, and it is also a significant milestone for the brand. I am confident that the Urus SE will continue the success story of the Urus product line in India,” said Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific.
The Urus SE offers a driving experience like no other, thanks to its plug-in hybrid system that enhances performance across all terrains and conditions. The twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine has been re-engineered to work seamlessly with an electric powertrain, producing 620 CV (456 kW) of power and 800 Nm of torque. The electric motor adds 192 CV (141 kW) and 483 Nm of torque, resulting in a combined total of 800 CV.
Inside, the Urus SE embodies Lamborghini’s “feel like a pilot” design philosophy. The cabin has been updated with a larger 12.3-inch central touchscreen featuring an intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) and updated graphics consistent with the Revuelto. The dashboard also incorporates new anodized aluminium trim elements, redesigned air vents, and customizable seat and panel coverings. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen are the heart of the Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS), which includes a dedicated telemetry system for the Urus SE and enhanced displays for driving assistance features.
The Urus SE introduces a refined design that enhances both performance and aesthetics. The front section features a new hood with a floating design, eliminating the cut-off line to create a seamless and athletic look inspired by Lamborghini’s Revuelto model. The updated headlight clusters incorporate matrix LED technology, introducing a new light signature inspired by the Lamborghini Bull, along with a redesigned bumper and grille.
The Urus SE offers extensive customization options, including 23” Galanthus alloy rims paired with new Pirelli P Zero tyres. Three different P Zeros are available, ranging from 21” to 23”, with Scorpion Winter 2 tyres for cold weather. The Pirelli Elect technology enhances the performance of the electrified Urus. The colour palette has expanded to include over 100 bodywork options, with two new colours debuting: Arancio Egon (orange) paired with Arancio Apodis (orange) interiors and Bianco Sapphirus (white) with Terra Kedros (terracotta) interiors. The interior offers 47 colour combinations and four embroidery styles, allowing for further personalization through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program.
The Urus SE introduces a range of driving modes through its “tamburo” selector unit, combining six existing driving modes with four new Electric Performance Strategies (EPS) for a total of eleven options. The Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes for road and track use, along with Neve, Sabbia, and Terra modes for off-road conditions, are now complemented by EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge modes.
