Limited to 999 units, Aston Martin’s Valhalla is the ultimate driver’s supercar
The Aston Martin Valhalla is a 1079PS hybrid supercar with F1-inspired technology, active aerodynamics, and a 350km/h top speed, limited to 999 units. ShareValhalla, Aston Martin’s groundbreaking mid-engine hybrid supercar, represents a bold leap into the future of performance engineering. With its unique blend of road and track capabilities, it is an automotive masterpiece designed to redefine the limits of what a supercar can achieve.
At the heart of Valhalla is a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-plane crank V8 engine, producing an awe-inspiring 828PS. When combined with three electric motors delivering an additional 251PS, the result is a staggering total output of 1079PS and 1100Nm of torque. This cutting-edge plug-in hybrid system provides unmatched power and efficiency, allowing Valhalla to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in a blistering 2.5 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 350km/h (217mph). The inclusion of twin front-axle electric motors enhances the driving experience, providing torque vectoring, regenerative braking, and an EV-only mode.
Valhalla’s all-new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission incorporates an electronic rear differential (E-diff) and a motor, ensuring seamless gear changes and maximum responsiveness. These innovations create a drivetrain that excels in both performance and versatility, embodying the perfect balance of technical sophistication and driving enjoyment.
Drawing inspiration from Formula 1, Valhalla employs an active aerodynamic system that generates over 600kg of downforce at speeds from 240km/h to its maximum. This system combines movable aerodynamic surfaces with precise underbody airflow management to deliver unparalleled stability, grip, and balance. The integrated aerodynamics adapt dynamically to suit different driving conditions, whether maximizing downforce for cornering or reducing drag for high-speed runs.
Valhalla’s exterior design is an ode to Aston Martin’s pursuit of perfection. Crafted predominantly from carbon fiber, the body is available in painted or exposed carbon finishes, with optional tinted lacquers for added personalization. Forward-hinged dihedral doors enhance the car’s dramatic presence while offering practical ingress and egress through thoughtful engineering. The doors also incorporate an innovative turning vane, channeling airflow to the engine and transmission oil coolers.
The interior mirrors the sophistication of its exterior, drawing cues from the extreme Valkyrie hypercar. Lightweight carbon fiber seats provide exceptional support, while the low hip-to-heel seating position immerses the driver in the car’s performance-focused cockpit. The clean, reductive design emphasizes functionality, with a steering wheel inspired by Formula 1 and a central touchscreen for intuitive control.
Aston Martin’s new Human Machine Interface (HMI) system enhances the driving experience, offering a driver-centric display for essential information. A unique drivetrain visualizer shows real-time power flow, regeneration, and energy deployment, reflecting Valhalla’s hybrid capabilities. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) provide configurable intervention levels for various driving scenarios. Valhalla represents the culmination of expertise from Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT) and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team. This collaboration has brought Formula 1® methodologies to the supercar arena, influencing everything from dynamics to materials. The result is a car that excels on the road and thrives on the track.
Valhalla’s integrated vehicle control system offers selectable driving modes, tailoring the car’s performance to the driver’s needs. From Sport to Race mode, the car adapts its aerodynamics, chassis settings, and drivetrain characteristics for optimal performance. The balance of form and function ensures that Valhalla delivers thrilling performance while remaining approachable and engaging for everyday use.
For Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark, Valhalla symbolizes the brand’s evolution into a leader in ultra-luxury performance. “With Valhalla, we have created a car that combines cutting-edge technology and class-leading performance with Aston Martin’s unmatched elegance and heritage,” he states. “It is a unique proposition, designed to be the most elegant and exciting product in the market.”
Limited to just 999 units, Valhalla offers a level of exclusivity befitting its status as a landmark model in Aston Martin’s history. Customers can further personalize their cars through the Q by Aston Martin program, which provides bespoke options ranging from unique finishes to entirely custom components. Production of Valhalla is set to begin in Q2 2025, with deliveries expected later that year.
