With the introduction of the Ferrari Purosangue in 2023, Ferrari stepped into new territory. While the iconic sports car brand from Maranello had previously produced four-seater models, the Purosangue marked Ferrari’s first four-seater, four-door vehicle in its 75-year history. This major milestone sparked intense curiosity about how Ferrari would interpret this new concept and integrate it with the brand’s legacy of performance excellence.

The excitement surrounding the Purosangue was palpable even before it hit the market. High demand for luxury SUVs ensured that the Purosangue would become one of Ferrari’s most sought-after models. The anticipation was met with satisfaction once the vehicle launched, as Ferrari successfully delivered a car that balanced top-tier performance with superior comfort. The Purosangue, a unique blend of driving pleasure and first-class luxury, remained true to Ferrari’s DNA. This made it an ideal candidate for a complete transformation by the renowned Bavarian luxury tuning firm, Mansory.

Mansory’s version of the Purosangue, named the ‘Mansory Pugnator,’ takes its title from the Latin word “Pugnator,” meaning “the competitor” or “contestant.” The Pugnator is a full vehicle conversion that reflects the technical prowess of Mansory and was unveiled at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show. The ‘Mansory Pugnator’ is designed to be a head-turner both visually and technically. Its debut model features a stunning ‘Vermillion’ paint finish, a deep, rich metallic red that evokes the classic Ferrari colour palette. Complementing this are carbon fibre components in Mansory’s signature ‘Forged’ design, adding an extra level of individuality and performance to the car’s aesthetic.

At the front, the Pugnator features enlarged air intakes integrated into the completely reimagined front apron, made entirely from carbon fibre. These new air intakes ensure optimal airflow to the radiators and, combined with the aerodynamically designed side flaps around the wheels, significantly improve downforce on the front axle.

Mansory’s customisation expertise extends to the interior, where the Pugnator offers nearly limitless options for personalisation. Owners can choose the leather type, colours, quilting, and carbon fibre designs to suit their tastes. In the launch model, the interior is upholstered in ivory-coloured leather with contrasting red accents. The carbon fibre elements are finished in classic ‘visible carbon,’ lending the interior a sleek, high-tech feel.

Additional refinements include a Mansory carbon leather sports steering wheel with integrated shift lights, seatbelts embroidered with the Mansory logo, and sports aluminium pedals. The cabin also features custom Mansory floor mats and numerous other intricate details, providing a luxurious and personalised driving experience.

The front bonnet is also crafted from visible carbon fibre and is visually extended by wheel arch vents and the rear sections of the front wings. The Pugnator’s profile is further enhanced by wider wheel arches and striking side sills, both composed of visible carbon fibre. These elements give the car a bolder and more aggressive stance, hallmarks of Mansory’s signature design language. At the rear, a redesigned two-part roof edge spoiler forms the transition to the back of the vehicle, enhancing aerodynamics.

For the first time, Mansory introduces its newly designed ‘FC.5’ rims on the Pugnator. These one-piece, ultra-light forged rims come in sizes of 9.5×22” at the front and 11.5×23” at the rear. Mansory plans to roll out these rims for other high-performance models in various dimensions and colour schemes in the near future. The glossy black rims on the launch vehicle are paired with high-performance tyres, ensuring improved steering precision, enhanced performance, and comfort during high-speed driving.

Mansory’s performance upgrades elevate the Pugnator’s driving dynamics to new heights. Modifications to the engine control unit and the installation of a new 4-flow sports exhaust system enable the Pugnator to produce a maximum output of 755 hp and a torque of 730 Nm. The exhaust system, featuring flap control and two sports catalytic converters, concludes with two vertically stacked tailpipes integrated into the newly designed carbon fibre rear apron.

These enhancements significantly improve the car’s performance, ensuring that the Pugnator remains true to its namesake as a fierce contender on the road.
