Maserati delivers Quattroporte Grand Finale and MC20 Iris one-offs
Maserati recently announced the Quattroporte Grand Finale, its last V8 model, and the custom MC20 Iris with AI Aqua Rainbow detailing, both highlighting Maserati Fuoriserie's new wave of design. ShareIn a splendid event held on the picturesque shores of Lake Maggiore in Stresa, Maserati unveiled two remarkable vehicles that epitomise the pinnacle of Italian craftsmanship and innovation. These cars, the Quattroporte Grand Finale and the MC20 Iris were delivered to an esteemed American entrepreneur in the biomedical sector, a testament to Maserati’s dedication to bespoke, high-performance automobiles.
The Quattroporte Grand Finale marks a historic moment as it is the last model to feature the iconic V8 combustion engine. This grand vehicle, part of the renowned Maserati Fuoriserie customisation program, stands as a celebration of six generations of luxury and performance. Its exterior, finished in an exquisite Blu Nobile, is complemented by a carbon fibre body kit and brushed aluminium brake callipers, exuding both elegance and power.
Under the hood, the 572-horsepower V8 engine roars, a fitting swan song for this legendary series. Unique identifiers, such as the car’s number 999999 imprinted on the windscreen and driver door, highlight its exclusivity. The custom cover, signed by the Fuoriserie team and engineers, adds a personal touch to this remarkable vehicle.
Inside, the Quattroporte Grand Finale is a showcase of meticulous Italian artisanship. The interior features high-quality materials tailored to the customer’s specific preferences, including a steering wheel with burl accents, tan door panels, and a black leather A-pillar. The Trident logo, elegantly stitched on the headrest, and the leather-lined boot with burl accents on the passenger door handle, exemplify Maserati’s attention to detail. The central tunnel and door sills, adorned with the ‘Grand Finale’ badge, further distinguish this model, reinforcing its status as an automotive icon.
Equally impressive is the MC20 Iris, a car that embodies Maserati’s forward-thinking design and engineering prowess. This unique vehicle, also a product of the Maserati Fuoriserie program, was created with the input of industry experts to ensure an unparalleled result. The MC20 Iris is distinguished by its AI Aqua Rainbow exterior, a vibrant and futuristic colour that symbolises the customer’s vision of a car that reflects the entire spectrum of the rainbow. This bold hue is prominently displayed on the Trident logo at the centre of the hubcaps, underscoring the car’s dynamic personality.
The interior of the MC20 Iris continues this colourful theme, with AI Aqua Rainbow stitching adding a striking contrast to the luxurious materials. The armrest and central tunnel, crafted from the prestigious ICE leather, feature this distinctive stitching, as does the steering wheel, which also includes colour-coordinated ‘plus’ and ‘minus’ paddle shifters. The door sills, laser-cut with ‘MC20 Iris’ lettering, and the colour-matched viewfinder on the steering wheel, add to the bespoke nature of this vehicle. Even the engine compartment and boot showcase this unique colour, reinforcing the car’s singular identity.
Both cars are part of Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program, which showcases the brand’s ability to create unique, tailor-made vehicles that blend tradition with innovation.
