Bentley Motors has unveiled the fourth generation Continental GT Speed, continuing its 21-year tradition by blending supercar performance, handcrafted luxury, and everyday usability. The new model features a comprehensive redesign with modern detailing inspired by the Bentley Bacalar and Batur, and introduces an all-new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain. This hybrid system combines a 4.0-litre V8 engine with a 190 PS electric motor, delivering a total of 782 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds and offers a 50-mile electric-only range with a total range of 534 miles.

The new Continental GT Speed’s chassis system includes two-chamber air springs, dual-valve dampers, Bentley Dynamic Ride (48V active anti-roll control), eLSD, and torque vectoring, resulting in exceptional body control and ride comfort. The car features a 49:51 rear-biased weight distribution, enhancing its handling and performance. Technological advancements in the new model include modern driver assistance systems, infotainment, and connected car services.

The exterior design marks the biggest change in two decades for the Continental GT, with single headlamps and a refreshed front end. The interior boasts new wellness seat technology, air ionisation, three-dimensional leather textures, modern quilting, and dark chrome finishes.

Both the coupe and convertible models are handcrafted at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England, with production and deliveries set to begin in Q3. The Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain includes a new 4.0-litre V8 engine producing 600 PS and a 190 PS electric motor, resulting in a system output of 782 PS. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronic limited-slip differential ensure exceptional power delivery and traction.

The new 400-volt electrical architecture enables advanced powertrain technology, achieving emissions of 29 g/km of CO2 and an electric range of 50 miles on the WLTP drive cycle. For the first time, the convertible Continental GTC is being launched alongside the coupe, offering flexibility for customers who prefer open-top motoring.

The chassis system features new air springs, dual-valve dampers, and advanced ESC control software. The car’s weight distribution is improved by the positioning of the hybrid battery, resulting in better handling and dynamic performance. The braking system offers two options: ventilated iron brakes and Carbon-Silicon-Carbide brakes, both providing excellent stopping power.

The design of the new Continental GT Speed is muscular and contemporary, inspired by Bentley’s heritage. The front features a new headlamp design, while the rear has been redesigned with a new bumper, taillights, boot lid, and exhaust tailpipes. New 22-inch wheels with a directional design are available in various finishes.

The interior of the Continental GT Speed is luxurious and modern, featuring precision quilt patterns, 20-way adjustable seats, and optional wellness seating. The Dark Chrome Specification provides a contemporary aesthetic, and the Mulliner bespoke division offers unique personalization options. Three audio systems are available, including a standard system, a Bang & Olufsen system, and a Naim system for audiophiles.

The Continental GT Speed features the Bentley Rotating Display, mood lighting, and a variety of new colours, including Gravity Grey and Tourmaline Green. The latest generation of electrical architecture supports advanced infotainment and driver assistance technology, including wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and over-the-air map updates. Connected car services allow remote control of charging, parking, and climate pre-conditioning.

The new My Bentley App Studio offers a variety of vehicle and third-party applications that can be downloaded directly to the infotainment system. The Continental GTC Speed, with its seven-bow fabric roof system, offers impressive performance and can reach 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph. To demonstrate the performance of the new Continental GT Speed, Bentley set an unofficial speed record in the Ryfylke Tunnel in Norway, achieving a top speed of 208 mph using renewable biofuel and electricity from renewable sources.
