Novitec’s Ferrari Roma Spider joins the 200 mph-club with its latest upgrade
NOVITEC enhances the Ferrari Roma Spider with custom carbon components, forged wheels, and engine tuning that boosts output to 704 hp and a top speed over 325 km/h. ShareMore than fifty years have passed since Ferrari first introduced a front-engine sports car with a soft top—the 365 GTS4. Now, Ferrari has reintroduced this concept with the Roma Spider. Novitec, recognized globally for refining Ferrari models, now offers an exclusive customization range for this new roadster. The sleek and sporty appearance of this two-seater convertible is enhanced with tailor-made naked-carbon components and high-tech forged wheels up to 22 inches in diameter.
The car’s performance is also enhanced by tuning the twin-turbo V8 Biturbo engine, increasing its output by up to 84 hp. This upgrade boosts the Roma Spider’s peak power to 704 horsepower and peak torque to 882 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 325 km/h. Novitec also offers bespoke interior designs based on customer preferences.
To give the Roma Spider a distinctive look, Novitec has designed a sporty and elegant body kit with components made from naked carbon, finished with a high-gloss sealer. The front fascia features three custom enhancements, including the Novitec front lip spoiler that reduces front-axle lift at high speeds, thereby improving handling stability. Additionally, the carbon front grille and the carbon trim beneath the headlamps provide the front-engine sports car with a striking appearance. The design package also includes covers for the exterior mirrors and rocker panels, which give the Spider a lower and sleeker visual profile. The rear can be customized with a lip spoiler, trim elements above the taillights, and a naked-carbon diffuser, complemented by four matte black Novitec tailpipes integrated into the diffuser with precise-fit wire mesh inserts.
The Roma Spider’s impressive appearance is further enhanced by attractive wheels. Novitec collaborates with the US-based Vossen, known for producing high-end alloy wheels using advanced forging and CNC machining technology. These wheels can be tailored to individual customer specifications in a wide range of colours and finishes. The NF 11 wheels, with five pairs of spokes extending to the rim’s edge, are a new addition to Novitec’s offerings. The hub caps feature a centre-lock look, and the front wheels are nine inches wide and 21 inches in diameter, while the rear wheels are 12Jx22 inches.
They are fitted with high-performance tyres sized 255/30 ZR 21 at the front and 315/25 ZR 22 at the rear. Novitec sports springs, which lower the ride height by about 35 millimetres, are precisely tuned to complement these exclusive wheels. These springs can be paired with a front-lift system for cars equipped with the MagneRide suspension, allowing the front of the Spider to be raised by 40 millimetres at the push of a button for easier navigation of ramps and speed bumps. The car reverts to standard height either manually or automatically when reaching 80 km/h.
Novitec’s enhancements go beyond just sporty looks and refined handling. Their engine specialists provide additional driving pleasure from the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 with three performance kits. These upgrades increase engine response and pulling power without compromising durability. The tuning involves a Novitec N-TRONIC module that introduces custom-programmed maps for injection, boost pressure, and ignition into the Ferrari’s electronic engine control unit.
The top performance stage includes 100-cell sports metal catalysts with efficient thermal insulation, boosting the output by 84 hp. With 518 kW / 704 hp at 7,400 rpm and 882 Nm of torque at 3,750 rpm, the tuned Roma Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and exceeds 325 km/h in top speed. Novitec also offers a wide selection of fine leathers and Alcantara in various colours for bespoke interior designs.
