Bentley is introducing its first-ever four-door supercar with the new Flying Spur, now in its fourth generation after nearly two decades of defining luxury performance sedans. Launched with a focus on high performance, the new Flying Spur is built around Bentley’s Ultra Performance Hybrid, giving it an impressive range of capabilities. On one end of the spectrum, it can run in pure electric vehicle (EV) mode for up to 47 miles (76 km), ideal for urban travel, while producing 90% lower CO2 emissions compared to the previous model.
On the other hand, when drivers seek excitement, the combined 782 PS from the Bentley V8 engine and e-motor offers thrilling performance, allowing the car to sprint from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. While the Flying Spur retains the familiar exterior design of its predecessor, launched in 2019, significant changes have occurred beneath the surface. The new powertrain, paired with an advanced electrical architecture, introduces cutting-edge automotive technology, ensuring the car delivers luxury, poise, and remarkable performance.
The Flying Spur Speed’s Ultra Performance Hybrid all-wheel-drive powertrain combines a 600 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with a 190 PS electric motor. This powertrain delivers a combined 782 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque, ensuring that the car performs exceptionally well in both city driving and high-performance settings. It is also more powerful and efficient than its predecessor, offering greater torque, higher peak power, and improved emissions. The electric motor eliminates turbo lag, while twin single-scroll turbochargers help reduce emissions and improve performance.
The new Flying Spur comes equipped with the Bentley Performance Active Chassis as standard. This includes Bentley Dynamic Ride and All-Wheel Steering, ensuring a smooth, controlled driving experience across various terrains and driving conditions. A new generation of electronic stability control (ESC) software allows drivers to experience different driving styles with greater precision and reliability. The car’s rear-biased weight distribution and active torque vectoring contribute to its agile handling, making it a joy to drive.
Inside, Bentley’s craftsmanship shines with new seat designs featuring 3D diamond quilting and revised perforation patterns. A Dark Chrome Specification option adds a contemporary, understated aesthetic to the cabin, complementing the exterior design. The iconic Bentley Rotating Display, with its 12.3-inch high-definition screen, continues to be available, offering a choice between digital and analogue displays.
The Flying Spur Speed’s performance-oriented character is emphasized by its new design features. Dark-tinted Brightware adds a sporty, technical feel, while the updated grille, front bumper, and rear diffuser create a more dynamic look. The car’s aero package can be finished in body colour or carbon fibre, depending on the customer’s preference. New LED Welcome Lamps project an animated Bentley Wings logo onto the ground whenever the front doors are opened, adding a touch of modern flair. The Flying Spur also offers a choice of 22-inch wheels in various finishes, further enhancing its distinctive appearance.
Bentley offers nearly endless customization options for the new Flying Spur. Customers can choose from 101 exterior paint colours, or have a bespoke colour created. The interior can be tailored with 22 primary hide colours, 11 secondary shades, and a variety of stitching, piping, and veneer options. This level of personalization ensures that every Flying Spur can be as unique as its owner.
The new Flying Spur incorporates the latest in infotainment and driver assistance technology. The optional Wellness Seating Specification provides seat auto climate control and postural adjustment, maintaining comfort throughout long journeys. Intelligent Park Assist and other semi-autonomous driving features make navigating city streets effortless. Bentley’s My Bentley App Studio enhances the car’s digital ecosystem, giving drivers access to a wide range of apps directly from the infotainment system, independent of a smartphone.
