The new Lamborghini Revuelto Opera Unica is sculpted by Sardinian seascapes
Lamborghini's Opera Unica Revuelto, inspired by Sardinia's seascapes, flaunts 475 hours of custom paintwork and intricate three-tone stitching. ShareLamborghini has unveiled a unique, in-house hypercar project, the Opera Unica—a singular version of the Revuelto crafted by the Ad Personam personalisation department and Lamborghini Centro Stile. This masterpiece, inspired by Sardinia’s vibrant blues and seascapes, was revealed at an exclusive dinner event in Cala di Volpe, a renowned luxury resort in Italy.
Creating this unique exterior involved an additional 475 hours of meticulous craftsmanship beyond the standard production time. The process began with careful masking to prepare the car’s body as a canvas. Then, localised two-tone and three-tone paint fading was enhanced by brush painting, evoking the imagery of waves crashing against cliffs. Special coating techniques were used to customise details such as the Start/Stop button cover and the nominal plate. The interior embroidery alone required 85 hours to produce the specialised tool necessary for the watery stitching effect dedicated to this model.
The Revuelto Opera Unica showcases Lamborghini Ad Personam’s specially developed paint techniques, highlighting the car’s architectural angles and lines. The vehicle features three shades of blue: light Blu Tawaret as the base colour on the front panels and roof, the brighter Blu Cepheus creating a fading effect on the rear panels, and Blu Okeanos adding depth to the fading effect on the bonnet and around the front splitter. These shades, inspired by the crystalline waters of Sardinia, are applied using brush and spatula techniques, producing effects reserved exclusively for this Opera Unica. The ‘dragged’ brush and spatula paint effect sweep waves of the three blues from the front to the rear, mirroring the sparkling turquoise waters refracting over sand and stones.
Inside, the Revuelto Opera Unica features Blu Delphinus as the primary upholstery colour, complemented by Blu Amon on the seatbacks, doors, and centre console trim, with contrasting white Bianco Leda stitching and piping. The seats, door panels, tunnel, and roofline introduce a novel embroidery application for the Revuelto. Using a specially developed tool, the three-tone stitching in Blu Amon, Blu Cepheus, and Bianco Leda mirrors the sparkling hues of Sardinian waters. This effect is echoed on the Blu Mira carbon Opera Unica plate on the rear wall of the cabin and the Start/Stop button cover on the centre console.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini, emphasised the significance of this unique creation. “The Opera Unica embodies the innovation, creativity, and artistry intrinsic to our super sports cars,” he said. The Ad Personam program allows clients to customise their Lamborghini with a wide array of colours, materials, and finishes, but Opera Unica elevates this customisation to an unprecedented level. The intricate paint techniques and interior finishes showcased in this car are exclusive to the Opera Unica line, making it a true work of art that reflects the unique seascape and emotional essence of Sardinia.
The Revuelto is Lamborghini’s first V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High-Performance Electrified Vehicle). This model sets a new standard for performance, sportiness, and driving pleasure with its innovative architecture, design, aerodynamics, and carbon frame concept. Delivering 1015 CV from a new combustion engine combined with three electric motors, it features a double-clutch gearbox debuting in a 12-cylinder Lamborghini. The car achieves 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. Its exceptional dynamism is further enhanced by electric torque vectoring and four-wheel drive available even in fully-electric mode, ensuring outstanding performance both on the track and in daily driving.
