Airelles is set to make its international debut with Airelles Venezia, opening in Autumn 2025 on the Venetian island of Giudecca. This will be the ninth addition to the Airelles collection and the first outside France. Airelles Venezia will be housed in three historic buildings, a church, and gardens spanning nearly one hectare.

The Palladio, the hotel’s main structure, dates back to the late 16th century and was designed by renowned architect Andrea Palladio. It surrounds Santa Maria della Presentazione, a protected heritage site with twin bell towers that will be restored as part of the project. Guests will be able to use the church for weddings and small ceremonies, integrating a sense of tradition with the luxury experience.

Christophe Tollemer, who has overseen the interiors of all Airelles properties, is leading the design of Airelles Venezia. The aesthetic will blend French and Italian influences, incorporating elements such as terrazzo and marble floors, custom Fortuny chandeliers, Murano glass details, and Rubelli wallcoverings. The colour palette will reflect Venetian elegance, with warm ambers, neutral tones, rich mahogany, and deep blues. The property will feature 45 rooms and suites, three dining venues, two bars, and an expansive 1,700m² spa and gym with a wellness garden. Guests will have access to three swimming pools and a private event space, positioning the hotel as a premier destination for both leisure and special occasions.

Next to the Palladio is a standalone villa that has served as a residence for noble Italian families and later operated as an elite pensione attracting artists, writers, and actors. This villa will house several suites, including a four-bedroom Presidential Suite with a full view of Piazza San Marco, as well as a dining destination and bar. At the rear of the estate, the Conventino will feature additional guest accommodations, including an intimate three-bedroom villa with a private garden and swimming pool.

“We are privileged to introduce our first property outside of France with the upcoming opening of Airelles Venezia,” says Anne-Laure Ollagnon, CEO of Airelles. “The opening of this exceptional property is a landmark moment for our brand, and a magnificent addition to both our portfolio and to luxury hospitality in Venice. It is a great honour for Airelles to be the next custodians of this remarkable estate, and we look forward to curating some of the most incredible experiences for our discerning guests.”

Airelles has a reputation for culinary excellence, and though the names of the lead chefs remain undisclosed, the property will feature three dining experiences, a cicchetti bar, and a main bar with a terrace ideal for sunset cocktails. Given Airelles’ track record, guests can expect a fusion of French culinary techniques and Italian ingredients, likely making it a destination for gourmands from around the world.

Airelles Venezia is taking a comprehensive approach to wellness. The spa and wellness centre will include a gym, wellness garden, and three swimming pools—a rarity in Venice, where space is highly limited. Families are also a key consideration, with a dedicated Kids’ Club designed to provide entertainment for younger guests.

The brand is also actively participating in local restoration projects, contributing to the preservation of historic landmarks such as the Doge’s Palace and Giardini del Redentore. The hotel is set to welcome guests in late 2025. For further information, visit airelles.com
