Maison Barrière Vendôme in Paris’ fashion and jewelry district is now open
Maison Barrière Vendôme is a Parisian hotel with 26 rooms, each dedicated to an iconic woman, located near Place Vendôme. ShareThe Barrière Group’s Maison Barrière Vendôme, a boutique hotel nestled between Place Vendôme and the Tuileries Gardens is now open and accepting reservations for the upcoming months. Housed in a fully reimagined private mansion, Barrière Vendôme is home to 26 meticulously designed rooms, suites, and apartments, each embodying a Parisian pied-à-terre. From the moment guests step inside, they are immersed in a dreamscape of water-green walls, Clémentine de Chabaneix’s delicate bird sculptures, and a terrazzo reception counter, all curated to evoke emotion—somewhere between reverie and film, as architect Daniel Jibert describes it.
From the quartz chandeliers and Lalique sconces to handcrafted Pierre Frey fabric headboards, no element feels overdesigned—rather, each piece whispers a story. The antique beams, original parquet floors, and carefully chosen textiles create an atmosphere that feels effortless yet deeply considered. Conceived by Corinne Evens, owner of the mansion and head of the Evens Group, the vision takes form through Daniel Jibert’s architectural narrative, weaving femininity, craftsmanship, and heritage into every detail.
“Designed as a tribute to extraordinary women, this refined setting embodies the heritage and values of Barrière Hotels, creating a unique expression in the heart of Paris,” Barrière Hotels & Casinos VP Development Hotels Stephane Bhaghdassarian said.
Each suite and apartment honours an iconic woman. The George Sand Suite is cloaked in 18th-century fabrics, a nod to the writer’s own bedroom, while the Sarah Bernhardt Suite dazzles with carmine velvet and embossed textiles by Maison Pierre Frey, reminiscent of the actress’s legendary stage costumes.
In the Marlène Dietrich Suite, muted gold accents reflect the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age. Across the hotel, Versailles parquet, onyx marble, and pearlescent terrazzo elevate the spaces with a subtle yet undeniable grandeur. For those seeking an experience beyond a traditional hotel stay, the property also offers select apartments with fully equipped kitchens and dining spaces, allowing guests to merge the comforts of home with the elegance of Parisian hospitality.
On the first floor, guests will find Frida, the hotel’s bar and restaurant, named in tribute to Frida Kahlo. Nestled at the centre of the inner courtyard, the space unfolds beneath a custom steel-and-glass structure, transported by crane into the historic mansion. Inside, Mediterranean zelliges, Murano glass fixtures, and bold colours reflect the Mexican artist’s audacious spirit.
The menu, curated by a Mexican chef, offers a vibrant take on South American cuisine, blending fresh ingredients with global influences. From morning until night, guests can gather in an intimate yet lively setting, which extends from the bar to a veranda overlooking a hidden tree-lined patio—a serene escape from the city’s bustle.
Beyond the hotel’s carefully designed rooms and social spaces, Maison Barrière Vendôme will soon introduce an exclusive spa, housed within its historic stone-vaulted cellars. The sanctuary will feature treatment rooms, a sauna, and a cold plunge pool, all designed to offer an intimate retreat beneath Paris’s storied streets. Situated near Place Vendôme, the hotel is surrounded by luxury boutiques and steps from the Tuileries Garden. Museums and cultural landmarks are within easy reach.
