Strategically located in Qianjiang Century City, the heart of Hangzhou's burgeoning business district, W Hangzhou will offer stunning river views and the signature W Hotels' vibrant energy. Share

Hangzhou, the capital of China’s Zhejiang province and one of the seven ancient capitals of the country is observing a meteoric rise in tourism—making it one of the most up-and-coming destinations on the map. Adding to the city’s luxury market, Marriott International and Zhong An Commercial Group, part of China New City Group are all set to introduce the W Hotels brand to Hangzhou. The new hotel, expected to open in 2031, will be located at the intersection of Minhe Road and Liyi Road in Qianjiang Century City, a rapidly developing central business district in Hangzhou. The property is designed to become a prominent symbol of luxury and contemporary hospitality in the area, offering bold architecture, attentive service, and lively programming.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Zhong An Commercial Group to introduce W Hotels to Hangzhou, inviting guests to indulge in the vibrant culture and dynamic spirit of this historic city through a distinct lens of luxury,” said Gavin Yu, Chief Development Officer, Greater China, Marriott International. “We look forward to further expanding our luxury portfolio in Greater China, aligning W Hotels with complementary destinations to cater to the ever-evolving global luxury traveller.”

The hotel’s location in the new CBD along the east bank of the Qiantang River offers convenience and visibility. The property is approximately 15 kilometres from Hangzhou East Railway Station and 24 kilometres from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. It is also near key attractions, such as the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center and the InCity shopping complex, making it a prime spot for visitors.

W Hangzhou is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, a leading architectural firm. The hotel will occupy the top floors of a 240-meter building within the IOC complex, offering panoramic views of the city. The property will feature 270 rooms and suites, with nearly half of them overlooking the river. Guests will have access to two signature restaurants, a bar, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and the AWAY Spa. For social events and business gatherings, the hotel will offer a ballroom, a junior ballroom, and four meeting rooms.
