Maybourne announces the Maybourne Saint-Germain, opening in 2027
The Maybourne Saint-Germain opens in 2027 with 101 rooms, 23 branded residences, six dining venues, and a luxury wellness club in Paris’ Îlot Saint-Germain. ShareMaybourne has confirmed the 2027 opening of The Maybourne Saint-Germain, a palace-style hotel in Paris’ Saint-Germain-des-Prés. This project will bring 101 guest rooms and suites and 23 ultra-luxury branded residences to the French capital, marking the first time a hotel-branded residence will be introduced to the city. The property will be housed within Îlot Saint-Germain, a 17th-century landmark on the Rive Gauche. With a location between Boulevard Saint-Germain and Rue Saint-Dominique, the building has played a role in Parisian history for centuries.
The hotel will feature 50 suites and 51 rooms, arranged around a tranquil inner courtyard. The design approach will preserve the essence of Îlot Saint-Germain while introducing elements that reflect Maybourne’s progressive vision. The 23 branded residences will be envisioned by two acclaimed French interior designers. Pierre-Yves Rochon will design seven residences along Rue Saint-Dominique, while Laura Gonzalez will create 16 residences on Rue de l’Université. Each will reflect a fusion of historical influences with contemporary luxury.
“Paris, with its elegance and timeless style, is an ideal match for Maybourne’s vision of luxury hospitality,” says Gianluca Muzzi, co-CEO of Maybourne. “Our presence in this iconic city reflects our commitment to creating elevated experiences that celebrate the local culture and our brand’s dedication to excellence. This opening marks an exciting step in our strategy to grow selectively in key urban gateways around the world, allowing us to build meaningful connections with our guests through rich and distinctive experiences.”
Dining will be a key highlight, with six food and beverage venues. These will include a Japanese restaurant, a patisserie, and a Salon de Thé, ensuring a mix of global and local culinary influences. The Maybourne Saint-Germain will also introduce Surrenne, the brand’s new wellness and longevity concept. This will be among Paris’ largest luxury spa and health clubs, offering fitness, beauty, and immersive wellness experiences. The spa will feature a third swimming pool, enhancing the health-focused amenities available to guests.
The 23 branded residences, fully serviced by the hotel, will offer exclusive amenities, including a private 25-meter pool accessible only to residents. The hotel itself will feature a 30-meter rooftop pool, providing panoramic views of the city. Maybourne’s first Parisian property and second in France, the brand is known for its luxury outposts like London hotels Claridge’s, The Connaught, The Emory and The Berkeley as well as the Maybourne Beverly Hills in Los Angeles and The Maybourne Riviera in France.
