The former Hotel Astoria will soon reopen as Corinthia Brussels in the fall of 2024
Corinthia Brussels, opening November 2024, will feature 126 rooms and suites, dining options like Le Petit bon bon and wellness offerings such as the Corinthia Spa by Sisley. ShareCorinthia Hotels has announced the reopening of the former Hotel Astoria as Corinthia Brussels in November 2024. Originally built in 1910 by royal decree of King Leopold II for the International Exhibition, the hotel is a protected monument designed in Belle Époque style, featuring a painted stained-glass dome and a restored façade. Located on Rue Royale in Notre Dame aux Neiges and sculpted by Henri van Dievoet, this gem has witnessed many of Brussels’ historical events.
The 126-key Corinthia Brussels will offer 36 suites, including five signature suites: the Grand Gallery Penthouse, Grand Masters Penthouse, Royal Heritage Suite, Brontë Penthouse, and Belle Vue Penthouse. Each suite includes spacious accommodations with marble bathrooms, deep soaking tubs, and rainfall showers. The hotel also offers a variety of event venues, from the historic ballroom and Salon Elisabeth to private dining rooms. The ballroom will also host concerts as part of the hotel’s programming.
Dining options include Le Petit bon bon brasserie, the gourmet restaurant Palais Royal, and the Under The Stairs cocktail bar. Wellness amenities include the Corinthia Spa by Sisley, which spans nearly 12,920 square feet, and the Paul Tucker Gym. The café will serve nourishing, plant-based dishes.
Corinthia Brussels has partnered with five visionaries to enhance its offerings, including David Martin, Hannah Van Ongevalle, Christophe Hardiquest, Sisley Paris, and Paul Tucker. Brussels, known for its art and culinary scene, offers historical landmarks, modern art exhibitions, and international art fairs like Art Brussels, Brafa, and Collectible. Art museums include the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Magritte Museum, and BELvue Museum.
